2017 Talent Lineup

Back to the Garden

Back to the Garden

History can be rewritten, but a song is forever. Back To The Garden embodies this truth by taking their audiences back in time through the songs of past years. Invariably, their concerts become mass sing-alongs, set to the soundtrack of the free-love era. This year, they'll feature songs and artists from the lineup of the iconic 60's event, Woodstock!

Their inspiration comes from a heartfelt love for the music, and it is experienced on many levels, from primal to spiritual, by anyone who attends one of their shows.

Talk to any member of Back To The Garden, you will be speaking to someone who's made major contributions to the music scene. As session and live players, they have backed artists as diverse as Johnny Cash, Chuck Berry, Kenny Loggins, America, Kim Carnes, Juice Newton, Chaka Khan, Art Neville, BJ Thomas, The Everly Brothers, and many more.

Back To The Garden is: "Cactus" Jim Soldi, Marc "Twang" Intravaia, Sharon Whyte, Larry Grano, and Rick Nash.

The Shirthouse Band

The Shirthouse Band

The Shirthouse Bluegrass Band is a Southern California band with a Tennessee sound. Three of the members, Conley, Rob & Richard,  have roots in Virginia and Tennessee.

Always a favorite, the band has been around for about ten years and can be found at several venues around San Diego County and beyond. You can catch them every third Sunday at the Urban Solace Restaurant’s “Bluegrass Brunch” in North Park. Every few weeks they sojourn up to Julian and perform at Wynola Pizza Express. They frequent the Pine House Café on Laguna Mtn, San Pasqual Winery in La Mesa Old Town, they’re at the Ramona Cowboy Days Festival in July, various bluegrass festivals and events and can be found doing shows at several other wineries in the region, as well as private events and weddings.

The guys frequent both the San Diego Bluegrass Society monthly jams and the North County Bluegrass & Folk Club meetings, as well as community fund raisers and events. The Shirthouse Band plays at various churches, as they have a strong emphasis on the bluegrass gospel musical style.

Shirthouse is made up of Rich Craig on banjo, Peter Lauterbach on mandolin/ guitar/ fiddle, Conley Robinson on guitar, Len Claesson on bass, Rob Lewallen on guitar/ mandolin and Richard Smith on Dobro, a recent addition to the band. The Shirthouse Band has an emphasis on strong vocal harmonies and frequently strays off the path of the traditional with many of their tune selections.

They have reworked songs from several genres – rock, folk, country, Irish and old Western into a bluegrass blend, and frequently sing a cappella. Selections include some original songs as well, and they’re releasing a new CD before long. Five members split up the lead vocal duties and contribute to their tight five part harmonies.

Del Rio Country

Del Rio Country

Del Rio was formed in 1988, with an idea of playing good music people enjoyed.Over the years some of the members have change, but the basic idea has not. We play country and southern rock from the 60's to the present time. Everyone in the band enjoys dancing, so we cater to the dance crowd, playing all the popular dance tunes. The band has played all over including Nashville in 2002, at the Louise Mandrell Theater. We have played at all the local casino's, Pala, Veijas and Sycuan.

Rons Garage Band

Rons Garage Band has been playing since 1994. First started as a trio, acoustic only group, it has morphed over the years into a classic rock band. The band plays a variety of styles, mostly classic rock from the 60's, 70's and 80's, but not limited to those particular types of music.

Over the years Rons Garage Band has played venues like the Hotel del Coronado, San Diego Yacht Club, Coronado Yacht Club, Coronado Cays Yacht Club, Paradise point Resort and the Southwestern Yacht club, as well as private events across Southern California, Nevada and Arizona.
